Dear friends of World Gymnastics
Our Club, GOPF "ARMONIA", is pleased to announce the organization of the 1st International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament “Aphrodite Cup”, which is scheduled to take place in the Taekwondo Olympic Indoor Hall in Palaio Faliro, Attika, Greece from 6th to 8th March 2015.
Our event is named after goddess Aphrodite, the epitome of female charm.

The tournament shall consist of five competition categories:
1. Pre-Juniors, Individual (11-12 years)
2. Juniors, Individual (13-15 years)
3. Seniors, Individual (16 years up)
4. Juniors, Groups (13-15 years)και
5. Seniors, Groups (16 years up)

The event has been approved by FIG and the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation, while entries are open to gymnasts belonging to clubs or national teams (in the senior categories).
We aim to organize a high-level competition, in a venue of Olympic Games standards, which exceeds all requirements of Rhythmic Gymnastics. Our club’s management and members, carrying long professional experience from major sport events, such as the Athens Olympic Games, are already working on the tournament details to ensure a unique experience for all participants!
The tournament is being held under the auspices of the Municipality of Palaio Faliro. Palaio Faliro is right on Athens Riviera ,, featuring, among other , scenic promenades on the beach, a park area and playground next to the event venue, as well as the modern Flisvos Marina! Tournament participants will also have the opportunity to visit major cultural attractions in Athens, such as the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, whereas visits to other archaeological and cultural sites can be organized upon request through our partnering tourism agency.

“Aphrodite Cup” will not only be a top rhythmic gymnastics event but also a “plunge” to Greek history and culture.
