Miss Valentine 2017 is welcoming more than 1200 gymnasts from all over the world 10. Jan 2017
More than 1200 gymnasts have been registered for Miss Valentine
tournament and World Cup. 37 countries are coming to the gymnastics
highlight event in Tartu on the 9-12 of february.
Miss Valentine rhythmic gymnastics tournament will be exciting,
because 2017 will bring totally new rules and regulations. Miss
Valentine head organiser Janika Mölder said that all the gymnastics
world is looking at us in february. New rules were confirmed after Rio
Olympic games and they are promised to change the subject thoroughly.
“Last time they changed the rules so much was in 2000 when there was
competing a star from Russia – Alina Kabaeva, ” says Mölder. “So in
Tartu we are going to see a new look of rhythmic gymnastics: right now
it is hard to even speculate whom from elite gymnasts can cope with the
changes the best.”
Rio Olympic games bronze medalist and a world champion Anna
Rizadtinova has promised to come the competition. “We have always been
lucky with the big number of participants and top gymnasts registering
for the event. 23rd Miss valentine is not an exception. It is an
absolute compliment that such a world top level gymnast like Rizadtinova
is participating in our tournament over and over again,” says Mölder.
