Liu Jiahui (CHN, ball) Starting back flexibility move looks great. This was really pretty. The Chinese just cut their way to the kiss & cry. Coach is hugging her, this was quite good! 15.666
Filiorianu (ROU, hoop) The two ROU girls are going for test event spots. Ana Luiza does well for her first routine, we'll see if Piscupescu can outdo her. 16.233, now we get a clearer picture on what scores are needed.
Bolataeva (GEO, ball) 15.958, these Georgian girls are surely improving.
Piscupescu (ROU, hoop) She's in great shape. In Budapest she was quite "rusty" because of not competing for months. Runs out of time by a second. 16.191 with the 0.050 penalty.
Pazhava (GEO, ball) The first big gun. She's going for a top 10 AA place for sure. Little mistake in control after a catch, she catches the ball, loses it and has to re-catch. Otherwise she's doing sublime things. 16.966. As you can see, the scores are a bit "reserved", as usual at Worlds. The mistake is reflected in the score.
Mateva (BUL, hoop) Solid routine gets a 16.733.
Moustafaeva (FRA, ball) The question is, can he stay on her high level throughout the Worlds. The ball "behaves well", so it gets a kiss at the end. 17.300, the first 17+ point.
Vladinova (BUL, hoop) High drama start. It fits her really well. 17.216! Very good routine. Pazhava will not making the final with ball, that is for sure.
Higino (ANG, ball) Angola FTW, they are really cute. Huge applause. 5.516, D is 0.950. Anyone seen a D score under 1.000?

Gamalajeva (LAT, ball) She (almost) does the same fouette sequence as Son, and it's interesting to see it so close to each other: the speed of Gamalajeva is much, much lower for the same element. It's like watching a slo-mo! 14.450
Kousoulieva (POL, ball) This goes dreadfully wrong, racks up 0.600 penalty and gets a 12.800. Poor girls sits absolutely destroyed in kiss & cry.
Bayramova (AZE, hoop) Gosh, the Azeris are right behind me. This will be tough. Bayramova in a leo, which has all the colours in the world. 16.850, they'll need scores like this for the team competition (and if they want another top 15 place)

Durunda (AZE, hoop) A-ZER-BAI-JAN! A-ZER-BAI-JAN! That's familiar from Izmir (and Baku, of course). Marina gets it right, though she loses the way to the kiss & cry while waving a lot. Good one! 17.750 with D 8.750, E 9.000, comes in after Son but in front of Moustafaeva.

Kilianova (SVK, ball) The tallest ever rhythmic gymnast with the neverending legs walks in. I'm always surprised how well she moves with the almost 190 cms height. 14.216

Assymova (KAZ, ball) Starts with a drop, fails to control the incoming ball, which rolls away, but not that far. Another drop on the other side of the floor. Not happy with herself. 14.566
Halford (GBR, hoop) WHAT a hoop colour. Huge drop at the end, hoop is totally out of control, rolls away, out of bounds and she finishes without apparatus. Ouch! 13.625
Ashirbayeva (KAZ, ball) Makes up for Assymova's mistake, good routine. 16.700, good score! I liked this a lot.
Halkina (BLR, ball) BLR fans upon their feet. Dangerously near of stepping OOB once (things were moving forward a bit too much), but she was in. Otherwise, business is usual for her. D 8.550, E 8.833, it was not flawless, but I'll have to re-watch it. 17.383 it is, she's after Son and Durunda.
Staniouta (BLR, ball) Royal entrance. Anyone around with a crown? Little kiss to the ball at the end. I think I've seen a slight control wobble. 17.716, after Son and Durunda! D 8.650, E 9.066

If Yana or Sasha does something like this, it'd hurt them a lot. 17.833
Mazur (UKR, hoop) She's lyrically lyrical. Or what. Delightful gymnast, can she overcome her reliability issues? Looks like she can. 16.983
